Dear Supporters
This is the story of Matladi.
Recently, we received a frantic call from a resident in Diepsloot Township. He explained that someone had poured boiling water on his dog.
Our dedicated team rushed to the scene, where they found the dog in agony, his back blistered and red, his eyes wide open with pain and confusion.
Our rescue workers wasted no time, and wrapped him in a towel and head off to our vet.
At the vet, Matladi was sedated, his wounds cleaned, and his fur trimmed to allow air to reach the burns.
The vet wrapped him in sterile bandages and monitored him around the clock. He was also given antibiotics and pain relief.
Over the next few days, his skin began to heal, and finally he was ready to go home.
This story serves as a reminder of the important work we do and the many lives we save. PLEASE help us with Matladi’s vet bills?
