Dear Supporters
One morning we received a call from a resident in Diepsloot Township, explaining that his dog, who recently had puppies, cannot move and that she is just lying down.
Fortunately, her puppies were able to eat solid food and we could separate mommy dog from her pups and take her to our vet.
Our vet diagnosed her with a rare immune medicated condition that affects the nerves causing paralysis, though she remained mentally alert.
Our vet began intensive treatment to reduce inflammation, physical therapy to prevent muscle wasting, and above all, time and love.
Over the next few weeks, Lillian, as we have named her, slowly began to show progress, taking a few steps at a time, and finally she was ready to go home.
This story serves as a reminder of the important work we do and the many lives we save. PLEASE help us with Lillian’s vet bills?
